Williams, 31, is planted firmly in the A-list these days, with three Oscar nominations under her belt for her work in Brokeback Mountain, Blue Valentine and My Week with Marilyn. But her most important role is mom to Matilda, 6, her daughter with the late Heath Ledger, whom Williams met on the set of Brokeback Mountain. 

"That's where my biggest effort goes — raising her to be a happy kid who's a face among many, who's allowed a right to her face, her individuality, her anonymity," Williams told USA TODAY last fall about raising Matilda outside the spotlight.
