I have yet to go next door from C Level to Island Prime, but, at the same time, I feel like I’m not missing anything. I have the same beautiful view and incredible food for about half the price. Why would I leave?! I need reasons!

I like this place for weekend brunch/lunch. Lobster BLT is the way I usually go, but most people are all about the lobster mac 'n cheese. It’s incredible, just super filling for a mid-day meal. Recently, I got the blackened catfish and that’s probably replaced the Lobster BLT as my favorite meal, albeit at dinner. It’s strange to rave about the burgers at fancy restaurants, but their Kobe burger certainly merits mention… lots of mention. Let me mention it again: Kobe burger. Kobe burger.

Aside from that... IT'S A COHN RESTAURANT. You probably know what to expect! The experience won't totally blow your mind with creativity, but, man, it is solid food with incredible atmosphere. Being a Cohn restaurant is as much criticism as it is praise because it's safe, it's consistent, and it's an institution. Really, it depends on how you feel about such attributes.

If, like me, you're optimistic and positive on business in general, it's easy to choose to see the good in all of these things. I could see how some might think of it as bad -- not consistent, but predictable; not safe, but cultureless; not an institution, but a monolith -- but life is too short. Don’t do yourself a disservice by missing out on this place.
